AP is a program run through the College Board.
AP provides rigorous college-level curriculum for high school students, with the opportunity for students to earn college credit upon successfully taking the end-of-year AP exam. Sophomores may begin the AP program by taking AP World History. ALL juniors and seniors are encouraged to take AP classes.

Why take the AP exam? A score of 3 or more could mean college credit!
Visit www.collegeboard.org to open an account and search colleges you are interested in attending to learn more about their “AP policies.” You can see what AP scores are needed to earn college credit and to see what credit equivalencies are given for AP exams.
