Rouch, Devon

La Push, Washington

I am the first floor counselor here at Kingston High School. I am excited to be apart of the team that will be working to support you, as a student or parent. Please visit the Counseling Center webpage to get quick information regarding graduation requirements, college, university, and career information, and so much more. I am also a BYU Proctor, more information here. Please contact me at if you have any questions.

I am originally from the Orlando area in Florida, where I attended University of Central Florida studying Psychology. I found college very challenging at first, resulting in extensive learning about priorities and how to self-advocate. After I graduated with my bachelors degree I took a break from school, moved to Washington, and started to Farm:

Whidbey Island, Washington

Willowood Farm

Chimacum, Washington

Red Dog Farm

I love farming, but after a few years I realized that my body couldn’t handle the intense physicality forever. I started to explore my other strengths and interests, which led me to Counseling. I went back to graduate school with new vigor to study Counseling with a specialization in schools at Seattle University . I continued to farm while in grad school and now continue to maintain a large garden while I work as a counselor. In addition to Farmer, I also identify as a Gamer (PC and Tabletop), Disk-Golfer, Archer, Climber, and ISFJ.

Life is an adventure, full of twists and turns, and we do the best we can with what we have. Learning the skills to self-advocate and meet our needs along the way is one of the most important and rewarding things we can do to prepare for those twists we don’t expect. I hope to be able to improve my students’ self-awareness and foster a desire to learn, while empowering them to make the choices that will be right for them. I wish you luck on your big adventure.
